Description

At 6.5oz this heavy fitness jump rope will spike your heart rate and give you a serious sweat within just a few minutes of jumping. Thick 2" beads add more resistance than our beginner 1" beaded ropes and intermediate 6mm PVC ropes

Long 8" handles enable easier freestyle movements like crosses, while the low profile grip tape helps you grip the handle when you sweat. A popular jump rope with boxers and MMA training.

Not sure which rope to get? This rope is also available as part of our jump rope progression bundle.

      Specs

      - HANDLE CONSTRUCTION: Comes with an unbreakable plastic polymer 8" handles and low profile grip tape / 1oz weight (each handle) / .9" diameter at end
      - BEADS: Made with 2" thick walled beads, which give the rope greater weight, longevity and durability when using on rough surfaces.

Quality is good, rope is awkward

I like rotating (haha) ropes through my workouts, 1/4lb pvc / 1/4lb and 1/2lb beaded / 1lb and 2lb coated steel, so the weight of this rope is useful and the materials seem reliable. The combination of long handles and longer beads makes this feel notably awkward compared to my other ropes, though. I wouldn’t discourage anyone from buying it, but I wouldn’t buy it again for myself.

      Glad I didn't get a heavier rope!

I got back into jumping rope last year after a long layoff. After a few months I was ready to try a heavier rope to see if I could get more “bang for my buck” (I’m a busy dad and I don’t have a ton of time to work out). I seriously considered the EliteSRS Muay Thai rope but I decided in favor of the somewhat lighter Pulse rope instead. I’m glad I did, because the Pulse is definitely enough of a challenge for my first weighted rope. Not saying a Muay Thai rope isn’t in my future, but the Pulse is fun, heavy enough for now, and it gets my forearms and shoulders more involved than my regular rope. It’s a great rope all around.

      Great In The Winter

These ropes are very durable. I live in a very cold state in the U.S. This morning the windchill was -17 degrees Fahrenheit. I spent an hour in my unheated garage jumping rope with this beaded rope without issue. Other ropes usually break in those extreme conditions. This rope takes a licking and keeps on ticking. That said, I still recommend jumping on a mat as opposed to the concrete. Do that, and this rope will last a long, long time.

      Jump smarter with a mat

We recommend using a jump rope mat to reduce impact on your joints and to extend the life of your jump rope, especially on hard outdoor surfaces.
